Never used one but it seems like a lot of watts for not that many lumens. Its true wattage is 1000?

If you're into growing with CFL's I guess those would be okay. I still think they don't pack the punch per watt as a T5, LED or HID unit.

Those larger ones, also, put out a fair amount of heat.

Agree with Zombo, those big cfls are a little pricey and Ive heard people saying they crap out early and are unreliable. You get more bang for your buck with the smaller cfls. I think someone said the most optimal bulb from the standard screw in category are the 42w for lumen output.

Last time I checked a system with a bulb like that ran about the same price as a good HPS system.

Can't go wrong with T-5s either.

it looked like good deal but i didn't like the idea it didn't have mogul socket for it with that high watts bulb . i think iam going to pass on that bulb
