I was curious how big of a container (in gallons) do growers use, when planting a newly rooted cutting, vegging for 21 days and then flowering 56 to 63 days.

I started from seed in 1/2 gallon pots and within 3 weeks they were root bound and transplanted into 5-gallon buckets. Allow 1-gallon of pot size for every foot in height.

I'm pretty sure you didn't read the above post.

Plants roots will grow rapidly while in veg mode but slows down once you enter flowering, so if your plants are in there finel pots and you see root begin to appear at the bottom by the drinage holes, start flowering your plants.

Anyway back to your question. One gallon per month of growth is a rule of thumb

But i would not flower in any thing less than five gallons, just so my roots have a little extra space, hope that helps Noway.
