A well-being check Tuesday resulted in the arrest of one man and police seizing nearly 500 grams of marijuana.

Officers were told by a woman that her boyfriend, Justin Altreche, 20, who lives with her, sells drugs *edit*. She said she got a text from him accusing her of cheating and was fearful he may have harmed her daughter since she couldn't contact her.

Police went to Paddock Park Apartments at 2901 SW 41st St., Ocala, where the woman lives, to check on the young woman. K-9 Officer Anthony Reghetti and Officer Matt Sams knocked on the door and when it opened they were overwhelmed with a smell of marijuana.

Inside the residence they found two plastic bags containing 233 grams of marijuana, two jars with 206 grams of marijuana, a plastic bag with 24 grams and a gram of loose marijuana. The 464 grams of marijuana were high grade, officials said.

Also recovered were multiple marijuana roaches, packaging materials, a digital scale, and plastic bags *edit*.

Altreche said the drugs did not belong to him.

Altreche was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he remained Wednesday.
