Fog cloner

I'm trying my hand at cloning and after doing a fair amount of research I've settled on using a ultrasonic fogger. After playing with the ultrasound element for a little while, it is clear that the fog bed that is produced never gets more than about three inches thick so I plumbed in an aquarium air pump to blow the fog around. Even with the fresh air in, the heat production is to high for it to be on all the time. My question is this, am I better off adding a solid state chiller and running the fogger full time or simply using a short cycle timer and having moderate amounts of off time. If the answer is off time, what cycle would you all recommend? Also, should I run dilute nutrients or simply RO water?

I'm doing a fogponic grow. 10 minutes ON / 20 minutes OFF, is a good cycle for pipes which force the fog in only 2 directions.
For a deeper container you may find a 15 mins ON / 30 minutes OFF works better.
I would run third strength nutrients for cuttings at pH 5.5 to 6.5
