right now i just have a 500 wat halogen that i bought not knowing it wasnt a good light and cant return it. is it possible to grow with this light at all? also the light seems to get verrrryyy hot, i was planning on using 18/6 for veg. and 12/12 for flowering.....if i were to have the lights on for 9 hours then cut off for 3 and then back on for 9 and off for 3 would that screw it up?

the Halogen light WILL NOT work. Get some screw in spiral floros. Search out some of Boss' grow journals. he uses floros with great results.

alright wat about the light shedule? will it mess it up if it cuts on and off like that

no it will keep it in veg, only when they're on a regular schedule of 12/12 will they start flowering...
