Important Meeting for MMJ in Butte County: 7/25

Dear medical marijuana supporter,

Butte County officials are not following our state's long-standing medical marijuana laws. In addition to legitimate patients having their medicine seized under the watch of the County's Board of Supervisors, the County has yet to implement its voluntary medical marijuana ID card program, as required by law.

Representatives from Safe Access Now and Butte County's chapter of Americans for Safe Access are planning to speak out against the County's dereliction of duty at next Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting. Hopefully, you will be able to join us at this important event.

The meeting will be held at the County Government Center in Oroville on Tuesday, July 25th. We will be speaking during the public comment period which will be at approximately 1:30pm.

Public outcry at meetings such as this one goes a long way towards encouraging County government to take positive action on this issue. In addition to elected officials, members of the media will be present-- so the more patients and supporters in attendance, the better.

Meeting time and location:

Tuesday, July 25th @ 1:30pm
Board of Supervisors Chambers
25 County Center Drive
Oroville, CA 95965

Talking points on the medical marijuana ID card program can be found here:

Please show up at this meeting to speak up for patients rights!

Feel free to contact either of us for more information.

Sincerely,

Aaron Smith
