Ok so I have a house I'm interested in it has 7,000 watt solar panel system.
the house is completely off grid and would cost 130k to hook to Edison.
the solar system itself cost 55k

I want to run 2 10x10 grow rooms
each throwing 1720 watts both for 11 hours a day.
and one small veg tent running 16 consuming 430 watts.
the home itself runs at 400 watts a day I would be using applicances for about 3 hours.

is a 7000 watt solar system enough to run everything?

Multiply 7000x how many hours of sunlight you get. That's the ammount of power your panels produce in 1 day. Next add up all the watts you draw per hr then multiply by how many hours you run, i.e.: 400 watt hps on 16 hrs a day, 400x16 is 6400 watts per day. now you see how those numbers match up to your solar setup. 7000x8hrs of sunlight=56,000watts per day I'd say get as close as you can to only using half your daily intake on lights/fans/and whatever else the growroom needs that way half of your panels run the lights while the sun is out the other panels charge your battery bank for use when the sun goes down.. Try using LED lights to maximize efficiency. Also look at the max MAH or mili amp hours your batteries can hold vs how much you draw per HR. That will tell you how many days you can run your system on only the battery bank
