New automated setup

Holy cow! I paid $30 US for the same.

Now the rectangular ones, those are pricey. Seems silly for a bucket, but as soon as you label it for "growing", you can kick the price up by a factor of 5.

well $30 US is $100 CAD LMAO

To clean out the buckets completely, I just use a shop vac. All you need is a half inch semi-rigid garden sprinkler hose (black stuff blocks light), a 90, and a uniseal. Just have the 90 exit above the water line, and run the tube to the bottom, and cut it on a slight angle to prevent it from suctioning to the bottom. Then all you have to do is walk up with a shop vac, and suck on the uniseal, draining the buckets fully.

I source my black 5-gallon pails from a industrial supply company for $6.32. I buy the 6" netcup lids for $3.89. The 1-1/2" uniseals are $6.49 each.
