Registration for both patients and caregivers is now open at New Jersey's third medical marijuana facility, Garden State Dispensary in Woodbridge. The alternative treatment center, formerly known as Compassionate Care Center of America, will join Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair and Compassionate Care Foundation of Egg Harbor Township when it opens later this year, as officials expect.
"Patients now have three options to choose from in terms of geographic location, quality of service and the number and type of strains available," said Mary O'Dowd, state Department of Health commissioner. Currently, there are 1,500 registrants between Egg Harbor and Montclair. Geographic location does not matter when applying, but patients must only be registered with one dispensary at a time.
