First of all I'd like to say high to everyone at 420, I'm a novice grower using dwc and canna and have just germinated 2 seeds.
Anyway to the matter at hand. On the last grow I had what a believe to be a mag deficiency. After doing some research I have decided to give the plants 75% strength mix and also change how I maintain my tank as I think my it was getting toxic and caused the deficiency through lockout. However while researching I have found my tap water to be very soft and based on what I've found I think I need to add a cal/mag supplement to my mix. I've bought plant magic's cal mag+ and I am using the canna aqua range.my question is how much cal mag to add? The recommended dose (1ml/l) gives me a big chunk of my EC level so was thinking maybe half or even a quarter dose to my mix?
