The Carson City Planning Commission approved a special use permit for a marijuana distributor to relocate its business on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2017.
The special use permit will allow Paladin to relocate its marijuana distribution business to 3160 N. Deer Run Road, which is zoned general industrial. The business is currently located in a light industrial zoned area.
Paladin will not be allowed to sell marijuana or any marijuana projects, according to the commission.
The sale of recreational marijuana will be allowed in Carson City on January 1, 2018.
Currently there are two medical marijuana dispensaries in Carson City, Sierra Wellness Connection located on U.S. 50 and RISE on Clearview Lane.
