Cave Junction, Ore. - The city of Cave Junction does not have a good financial situation, but some are hoping that will change soon. Some said the savior is marijuana.

The city council discussed some ideas about moving forward with the sale of recreational pot, but not all were in favor.

"I'm not allowed to grow aspirin," incoming councilor Mark Dillinger said. "Why should I be able to grow marijuana if it's important to me medically?"

Upcoming Mayor Daniel Dalegowski said he wants to get the ball rolling on the industry.

No decisions have been made yet.
