Twenty five people arrested at medical marijuana centers, which had been sealed in the month of June at 4 Montreal compassion clubs, appeared in front of the court yesterday.

They further learnt that those people connected with the arrests made in Papineau St. and another medical marijuana distribution center in Plateau Mont Royal would have to appear in court on Oct. 4, the date when their hearing resumes.

Marc-Boris St.-Maurice, Founder, Federal Marijuana Party, pointed out towards the biased contradictory laws set by the Government, which state that sale of marijuana is illegal, yet possession of medical marijuana for medical use is legal.

Mr. St-Maurice, one of the frontrunners for people who have been fighting for the cause of medical marijuana also stated that people like him and other medical marijuana centers were facing difficulties because of the reputation gained by Culture 420 Compassion Club which is located on the 15th Avenue in Lachine.

St-Maurice further stated that they have been unnecessarily dragged into the development despite Plateau Compassion Clubs earning an impeccable reputation over 10 years since they opened shop after the legalization of medical marijuana.

It was also stated that Plateau Compassion Clubs required a prescription of a doctor for people to join, whereas Culture 420 Compassion Club sold medical marijuana without any prescriptions.
