Mayoral Candidate Peter Styrsky is Being Silenced/imprisioned for his Religious beliefs and Political Views preventing him from doing any public speaking or campaigning for the position of Mayor.
On Oct 25 the Toronto Drug squad raided the G13 Beaches Mission of God church which is a part of the Assembely of the Church of the Universe with a drug and substance Act search warrant looking for what they claimed "dealers", refering to the Reverends, Ordained Ministers & Missionaries of our church. This raid was the final part of operation B-17 which had been in effect since Sept 18, on the suspicion of an alleged marijuana trafficking operation. This is an outrageous accusation as we were within' our fundamental freedoms.
The only reasons for this happening is that our Mission Administrator Reverend Peter Styrsky, husband and father of four children is running for Mayor of Toronto. They are trying to silence him for his religious beliefs and political views. They have seen how postive the church was not only for the beaches community but the cities community. There are 2000 members who belong to this mission and all of them are fine respectable people with respectable postitions in the community. Also this mission is just one of the many more missions In North America and around the World.
That's why Reverend Peter Styrsky has been imprisioned since OCT. 25th. He now is unable to be released until at least Nov. 15, two days after the Mayoral election day. Another reason for this happening is simply revenge for what had happened on June 6th when undercover police were inside our church and were ordered to leave and did so as they were told they were in violation of Section 176 of the Criminal code which states:
(1) Every one who (a) by threts or force, unlawfully obstructs or prevents or endeavours to obstruct or prevent a clergyman or minister from celebrating divine service or performing any other function in connection with his calling, or (b) knowing that a clergyman or minister is about to perform, is on his way to perform or is returning from the performance of any of the duties of functions mentions in paragraph (a) (i)assaults or offer any violence to him, or (ii) arrests him on a ciliv process, is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisionment for a term not exceeding two years.

Now I'm going to explain to you about our Church and the beliefs of The Assembly of the Church of the Universe. We are an entheogen religion that was established by Brother Walter Tucker in 1969 in the Canadian province of Ontario. We believe in medicated ourselfs with natural rememidies because of the belief that theres no such need for some things in society that they say you need or can't live without. It is a new religious movement, we also use marijuana as our sacrament. There are many valid reasons for this as like many other people throughout history have realized the thousands of benefits Cannabis Hemp has. It's called the tree of life and as stated in Revelations 22, "is for the healing of the nations." It can and will help everyone in any and everyway. Of course many question the sincerity or depth of our religion, seeing it as an excuse to indulge in otherwise frowned upon activities. However our Church's use of Cannabis is taken from the rituals found in certain ancient Semitic pratices.
The Golden rules which evolved during the formative early years of the Church during the Clearwater Abbey era are:
1. Do not hurt yourself.
2. Do not hurt anyone else.
We believe that as long as we obey the Golden Rules We should be free to pratice our religion and worship God.
The Tree of Life is Sacred and has been proven through time, the evidence is over whelming.
Were not asking anyone to agree with our beliefs but we are asking everyone to agree that everyone should be able to pratice their own religious beliefs without being persecuted and harassed especially as we were and still are within our fundamental freedoms. This is the type of government abuse and harrassment that we have all seen in other countries for years and now it's happening right here in Canada. A country once known to be Free and in a demoracy is now starting to show the unessary over the top influence from our United States neighbours with our new currently miniority conservative government in. We are currently doing everything we can to keep the people of this city Toronto educated about this situation as the newspapers and police are using slanderous lies and twisting the truth, trying to discredit the Church making it look nothing more than a sophisticated trafficing operation. But of course it wasn't. These type of tactics are not surpising as they do this in almost any type of situation or problem, they feel they have to or are obliged to deal with it in this manner. So we are making flyers with information, telling people to visit coumissionofgod.blogspot.com and urging people to show their support on November 13th and vote for Peter Styrsky. Because this is not only an attack on our religious freedoms and beliefs but an attack on our civil liberties.
