Training to fence

Marijuana can be controlled to eliminate most of its three-dimensional shape by tying the branches to a fence. Imagine a space fifty inches wide against a wall, fifteen inches deep and six feet high. The walls are covered with aluminum foil. Plastic garden fencing, used to hold vines such as peas and tomatoes, is stretched over a frame of one-foot-by-two-feet and placed against the wall. The plants are kept tied to the fencing as they grow, and a bank of 8 four-foot flourescent lights is placed on the floor, lighting the flat garden.

This technique is also called the wall of bud, thought the info would be useful for some people.

"Lights placed on the floor"?
Also, what happens to the branches that are against the wall?
Unless I'm not picturing this right, it sounds like a REALLY piss-poor idea.
