Vaping E-Liquid Very Harsh

Hi there.

I bought my first e-liquid vaporizer and tried a couple of strains and I find it very, very harsh. Since each cartridge cost me more than $20, I'd like to find a way to enjoy it without it killing my throat. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just in case anyone cares, I've found that covering the mouthpiece with a piece of cloth or tissue cuts way down on the harshness.

I had something similar last year and I found If I took a drink of ice water after each drag it helped tremendously
