Would this suffice?

i have this light:
Feliz 125 Watt CFL Grow Light 6500K with Reflector

would 4-5 plants grow happily under that?
apparently it is 10000 lumens, but i dont know what a plant needs.
also, ive been told that i need a red light for budding but do i need them both on at the same time?

You should check out this CFL Light Tutorial. It talks about the necessary amount of lumens and wattage for plants and how many lights and what not.

From that thread they say "The ideal amount is somewhere around 7000-10,000 lumens per square foot for average sized plants." -Roseman (Post 3 of thread)

I would first check out the rest of the boards. Lots of good advice here.

At first glance, I think this sounds like it will work....but I read it fast.

Just make sure you get good nutes too. Try out the Advanced Nutrients lineup, if you can get it in your area. It's really been a livesaver for my grows...even some really crappy ones have turned out amazingly....

i skimmed the guide, thx for the help.
i might consider upgrading the bulb to around 250watts
the problem is electricity usage, this is a stealth grow
