McCall, Idaho - The death of a Valley County man leads police to the biggest drug seizure in McCall history.
It began when 49-year-old William Dawson was found dead in his home by a co-worker.
When police responded to the call, they performed a routine sweep of the residence where Dawson was renting a room from his former brother-in-law.
That search turned up a sophisticated marijuana growing operation.
Officers seized 17 plants, processed marijuana, guns and more than $5,000 in cash.
Police are now looking for the owner of the home, 49-year-old Brad Frankland.
The suspect hired an attorney who is attempting to arrange a meeting between police and his client.
Valley County prosecutors say they plan to press charges soon.
Meanwhile, an autopsy of Dawson indicates his death was related to a medical condition.
Police do not yet know what connection, if any, Dawson had with the marijuana growing operation.
