Using Cannabis For Pain Management?

Has anyone found any actual studies that support or disprove how CBD's have been known to help with pain? What about any other known cannabis components?

hi there!

My mom has advanced lymphoma and uses medical marijuana to treat pain associated with bone marrow metastasis and chemo so I have done quite a bit of research on this topic!

What kind of pain are you referring to?

Cellular cannabinoid receptors exist throughout the body as part of the Endocannabinoid system. This allows chemical compounds found in cannabis to bind directly to cellular receptors (notably CB1 and CB2).

CBD works at the neuro-synapse and modulates pain primarily in the peripheral nervous system, which serves as a communication relay for the limbs and organs to the central nervous system.

There are tons of good resources out there; project cbd and canchew biotechnologies are a good place to start

hope this helps!
