Alright, so order some one gallon pots and, for this first run, don't SWICK until flowering. Will it veg in the 1 gallon or will I need to up pot to a three gallon at some point? Just need to get my orders ready to go out at the end of the month.

Veg it in one gallon. Go directly from 1 gallon to 7 or 10....no problem.

You don't want a SWICK in veg.....because you want to CULTIVATE in such a way to encourage roots and thick, stocky stems. If water is easy to come by, you'll have a much less robust root system and lots of lush, green foliage....which will create a less than ideal situation in bloom, as the roots won't be up to the task of supporting all those flowers because it simply isn't large and efficient enough.

When working with wimpy lights like we all do (wimpy compared to the Sun) we need to direct the plant, manage the canopy, etc. There are many ways of doing all of this, but when it comes to roots, nothing works quite as well as the wet/dry thing. It also causes MUCH shorter nodal spacing and thicker, stronger stems. This is the plant's natural response to periods of dry weather.

Not too dry.....just enough to slow down and compact vertical growth and encourage the plant to put all its energy into growing roots and seeking moisture.
