looking good LA, dont worry about the veg plants, letting them get root bound in the smaller pots really pays off,

for example lets say you plant seeds or clones directly into their final pots, then all this means is the roots grow strait down and circle the bottom of the pot, so your really wasting the top half of the pot as it contains very few roots compared with the bottom of the pot, so by letting the plants get root bound in veg means the roots will spread out through the whole pot once it is transplanted into a bigger pot, so you will then benefit as the plant is able to use all the soil to get nutes from,

i found its also good to transplant a couple of weeks before flipping to 12-12, as long as the roots get chance to spread before it goes to 12-12 then it seems to give good results, the only seeds i plant direct in the final pot is the autos, the less stress on these the better, although this time round my own auto strain is doing much better under a flower schedule so should be much bigger this time round.

im sure doc bud mentioned something about letting the plants get root bound slightly before transplanting, or it could of been BID but im pretty sure it was doc bud who was also discussing this a while back, i just find planting direct in big pots means your wasting around a 1/3rd to 1/2 the soil as the roots just grow strait down, so transplanting at least once benefits the plants more than not transplanting.

chances are you have come across this info yourself, the only time i wouldnt do it is just before flipping 12-12 like say 2 or 3 days before, or i wouldnt transplant after flipping 12-12, id normally start in small pot for seedling stage for 2 or 3 weeks, then go to next sie pot for 4 plus weeks then 2ish weeks before flipping 12-12 ill transplant to the final pot but then i dont flip 12-12 until i see the plant is well rooted, you can tell its well rooted as when its root bound the growth slows so upwards growth slows and the plant sort of remeains at a stable height, but when you transplant to bigger pot you will notice that after 7 to 10 days the plant has a major growth spurt and really picks up,
