My first grow

Hey guys.. The only other anything I've ever been on, that is similar to this is prolly fb... I'm New here and I'm pretty inginuitive and creative with things... I've been doing serious research on growing for maybe two years but as my state prohibits this it makes everything difficult to proceed to the next step. Which would be to het it going but I have... Moving on, I've encountered an issue... See I'm using some store bought solid for plants, 4, 100 watt replacement CFLs with 1650 lumens per bulb in a maybe 3 gallon pot enclosed in a cardboard box lined with tin foil. I'm busting my ass with this little lady for over 30 days.... I fought off a k deficiency at about weeks 2 and 3 and successfully killed that issue by adding 2 more lights (then I had 2) it's an issue that she hasn't even reached 5 inches but has at least 3 nodes right now... Before she had may e 5 but after the k issues I ran into the first two nodes started to die out meaning the fan leaves grown there were dying off and the growth there was stunted so I cut em out figured it wouldn't hurt to cut em off and let her focus on the new growth instead of fixing her leaves.... Idk Wtf I'm doing.... I know I have it all wrong but money is a serious issue and I'm just playing around to get experience. Any suggestions?
