My method is to start germinate them using the water method. With a 50/50 soil mixture of “Fox Farm Ocean Natural and Fox Farm Happy Frog”.

Once I see the Tap root I will transplant each seed into its own 3 liter Air Pot. Before planting the seed I make a small hole using my knuckle and I sprinkle a little Mykos for the root.

The volume of a container can easily dictate the size of a plant. Cannabis is an annual; it grows very fast and requires a lot of root space for sustained, vigorous development. Containers should be big enough to allow for a strong root system, but just big enough to contain the root system before harvest. If the container is too small, roots are confined, water and nutrient uptake is limited, and growth slows to a crawl. But if the container is too big, it requires too much expensive growing medium and becomes heavy and awkward to move.

When the seed tap root poke thru the air holes in the side of the pot they form a callus at the tip and start growing more tap roots off the part of the original tap root that's still in the soil. It's kinda like if you cut off the end of your finger and instead of having a nub, your finger grows two more fingers out of the side of the nub to grow as long as the original finger. Then those new fingers get cut off and the process repeats itself.

This is why the plants are feeding so heavily. Instead of the plant feeding itself with small feeder roots they're gorging on nutes because they're feeding through tap roots.

My Tomatoes will sit inside the pot’s for no more than 14-15 days. Being watered with a mixture of pure “RO water and Liquid Seaweed” and a PH balance between 6.2 - 6.9.

It's a good idea to let the pH cover a range instead of always adjusting to the exact same PH number.

Moisture meters take most of the guesswork out of irrigating; this will give an exact moisture reading without disturbing the roots.

Air ventilation and circulation are essential to a healthy indoor harvest.Three factors affect air movement: stomata, ventilation, and circulation.

Stomata are microscopic pores on leaf undersides that are similar to an animal’s nostrils. The larger the plant, the more stomata it has to take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. The greater the volume of plants, the more fresh CO2-rich air they will need to grow quickly.

Ventilation is as important as water, light, heat, and fertilizer. In many cases, fresh air is even more important. A vent fan pulls air out of a room four times more efficiently than a fan is able to push it out. I use

Circulation: Plants use all CO2 around the leaf within a few minutes. When no new CO2-rich air replaces the used CO2-depleted air, a dead air zone forms around the leaf. This stifles stomata and virtually stops growth. If it is not actively moved, the air around leaves stratifies. Warm air stays near the ceiling, and cool air settles near the floor. Air circulation breaks up these air masses, mixing them together. Avoid this issue by using a oscillating circulation fan such as. . Air circulation also helps prevent harmful pest and fungus attacks.

My lights will always sit 24 inches away from my plants being adjusted every 3 days.

On the 14 or 15 day I will prepare my plants for transplant. I plant my 50/50 mixture of soil into the 3 gallon smart pot. I slowly place each tomato plant into its permanent home.

To transplant from air to Super pot is easy!!

It's best to transplant with the rootball on the dry side. You never want to water the plant and then transplant. Doing so would add weight to the soil and it could break away causing severe damage to the root ball.

If you have the 3 liter or 4x6 inch Air Pots they have a different type of button than the larger pots and should have come with the Air Pot tool. If not, a screwdriver or allen wrench will work.

Using the tool with one hand and using my index finger of my other hand to push the button from the inside of the pot, I back the button out of the Air Pot to release the pot.

Being very gentle and cautious, I keep one hand under the pot and use the other to slightly peel back the Air Pot. I then gently set the rootball down and then pull the pot completely away from the rootball. I then grasp the rootball by the sides to pull it away from the screen and insert it into the new pot.

BTW- This was kind of a messy job so I highly recommend doing it outside/bathroom unless you have a shop vacuum readily available

I will then water them when my moisture meter goes below green with RO water and Liquid Seaweed”

This rotation will stay in effect till Its time to harvest.
