Newbie Overview

Hi everyone

Long time reader, short time contributor. I also have never done a blog before, AND I'm only on my second grow. SO - new here be kind haha.

Here are some details to get us acquainted:

SYSTEM OVERVIEW
I have two spaces where the magic happens. Space one is a small space which I use for veg, clone and propagation. Capacity of this room is 8 plants (VEG only) and lights run 24/0. One to two weeks before the flip I move them into the tent and do the final transplant. They veg in tent under a 400W MH light at 24/0. A few dangling 6500K CFL's are also used. For the first week of 12/12 I keep the same 400 MH light but change the CFL's to 2700K. For the second week I replace this with a 600W HPS and remove the CFL's. This continues until harvest. Drying will be done in dark tent (no room elsewhere), then curing in nice dark spot.

PLANTS
First grow - bag seed (6). Currently in Week 6 of flower. I gave these waaay too long in veg and they are are big plants now. The size of the plants increased 2-3 times their size in veg. A lot of this was done early - within the 2 week initial 12/12 period and then the first 3 weeks of flower
Second grow - bag seed clones (4) + White Widow (1). Current Wk 4 Veg

MEDIUM
Growing medium - Canna Coco
Nutes - Canna Coco range
Supplementry Feeds - CalMag ("Bloom"), Epson Salts, Molasses, Amino420

TENT AND STUFF
Lighting - 600Watt HPS in flower, 2 x 130W CFL (Veg 1-3), 400Watt MH (Veg 4)
Veg room size - 1.1m x 0.7m
Flower Room (tent) - 1.4m x 1.4m
Ventilation - Intake: 150mm HyperFan + duct silencer ; Exhaust: 200mm CAN fan + 200mm silencer + 200mm CAN filter. Note that the HyperFan is bloody awesome and when the CAN fan dies (could be a while...) I will replace with a HyerFan

ROOM CONTROLS
I have various sensors attached to Arduinos that enable me to control temperature and humidity without an air conditioner. I'm expanding these as I go but currently there is:
. Veg room (#1) - 1 UNO in the veg room which measures temperature, humidity and soil moisture. This UNO also turns on a humidifier and secondary fan when the temperature hits 30.5 degrees.
. Flower room (#2) - 1 UNO in the flower room which measures temperature, humidity and soil moisture.
. Control (#4) - 1 UNO which acts as a control UNO and resets #1 and #2 if required. More things to come from this.
. MEGA - 1 MEGA which takes the #1 and #2 readings, stores on SD card, uploads to Thingspeak and tells #4 when to reset #1 and #2. All communications are wireless (nRF2401L chips) except for the reset of #1 and #2 which had to be via a relay (with associated cable).

Thanks for reading my first ever blog entry. I'll create others - see how it goes.
