The secrete to growing the best OG Kush that your genetics allow

Everybody these days is growing some type of OG kush but the real deal OG is scarce and hard to find. If you tasted it then you know what I'm talking about. Not that commercial stuff that looks great and smells great but when you smoke it, it doesn't pack the right punch and it lacks the right richness and after taste that the real deal OG has. Is it strain specific? Yes but it also requires the proper growing environment and feeding technique to get the plant to express its full genetic potential.

So why is it that most OG we see these days is dark and tastes bad? The reason is because everybody that grows OG kush is burning the plant. Everybody has the misconception that the more nutrients and additives you add the better it will yield & turn out., WRONG after 15 years of trial and error to now growing nothing but the best OG Kush in the San Fernando Valley. What's the secret for weight (2+ a light 1000 watt hortilux bulbs, 2.5 + with Gavita lights) and also developing the best quality?

The secret to weight is #1 the environment, #2 the canopy structure, #3 The nutrients. You must have a complete sealed environment to pull weight. You must use an ac system that does not exhaust air out of the room. You must exhaust your room and replenish fresh air 15 minutes every 2 hours. (Don't know why but the results speak for themselves) You must use a c02 burner no tanks. I don't know why since co2 is co2 but a room with co2 burner will always outweigh a room with co2 tanks. The last part is your canopy. Plants per light 7-9 plants per light at 4 week veg. Or 12-16 per light on 2-3 week veg. Make sure each plant has shoots. 5-6 per plant. Don't let your plant stretch. Don't let it get above 42 inches from the table. Use nets 2-3 levels to build your canopy structure. The last thing and least important thing that adds weight is the nutrients. Knowing what to use and how much to feed is the key to feeding your plants the right way. There is no nutrient that can drastically add more bud weight. The environment is the most important thing. The right environment allows your plants to flourish and it allows it to uptake nutrients at optimal levels.

The secret to quality is feeding your plants the necessary nutrients and additives that makes for a complete nutrient program. Enzymes, carbs, b vitamins, silica, Base nutrient, bloom booster, carrying an attitude that less is more. For example my OG kush strain that I have has told me that during veg and the first 2 weeks of flowering it does not like to be above 1000 ppm and during weeks 3,4 it likes to be at 850-900 ppm, week 5 at 700 ppm, week 6 at 600 ppm, week 7 500 ppm, week 8 400 ppm week 9 flush. It likes recirculation the 1st 4 weeks of flowering but finishes better on run to waste the last few weeks.

You must listen to your plant. Take your ppm meter and measure the ppm of your reservoir. Say it reads 800 ppm. Now feed your plant and make sure to collect the runoff of your table in a reservoir. If the runoff is above 800 then your plant is spitting. If the runoff is under 800 ppm then your plant is feeding and taking in nutrient. Figure out what your plant likes on a week by week basis and you'll notice that growing OG kush the right way is counter intuitive to all the advice you get about growing weed in forums and books. Listen to your plants spit or feed and you'll master quality and weight...
