Can you buy these by them selves? and do you like it does it seem to do a good job?
Is there a way to change the sensor on it so if your plants are young and dont need as much or iff you have a sick plant and you want it to get more or less? that type off thing or it just keeps the soil at the same moisture point continuously and cant be changed?
I think it seems like a great idea to reduce over watering and with that in place you could set up walk away and come back when shes all grown now, I think in the past that was the only thing you had to kinda do was make sure they wernt unhealthy from to much warter or newts, the timers and duel red/blue lights, pumps and what not took care off everything but the only way to make sure it was not over or under fed was to put a timmer on your water pump but that isnt a very good garantee.

It will work in any container. What it is, is basically a glass tube with a sensor at the bottom which when the water level at the base of the container reaches it, shuts off. Also, it feeds the water to the bottom of the tube, so the top soil is basically dry, while the roots receive all of the water/nutes. The attachment that comes with it plugs into a standard 1 gallon plastic milk jug, which at the moment is lasting about 5 days. But I also have the 10 gallon water tank on the same link above.
Kind of pricey from the Pyraponics. I got mine off ebay at about half the cost for both accessories.. Do a search for Phototron or feedatron and if there are any out there, you will find them. Also, if you are thinking about getting a phototron off Ebay, MAKE SURE you get the series 8 or 9, which is 51 tall.
