I run my mega the same, right to the ceiling and it stays there. it ends up averaging 12-30” over the canopy at the end of flowering depending on the strain, as I run many at once. If you trim like Doc suggests on flip day, so you can look down and see dirt, and leave 5-6 nodes, cut everything...
I have noticed the same thing...I’ve cut back in a major way my production. Since legalization it seems past past consumers of my buds have drifted to the “safe” and convenient dispensary products. I have a small handful of friends I help out now.
Now that the dispensaries are closed...

I’ll probably harvest some time late this week. They are in the window, trichromes are mostly cloudy. Subsequent runs I’ll try earlier and later harvests, just to compare.
I was referring to the small plants that were just up potted. I’m no expert on diagnosing. Sound like you have a grip on the finer details, and like Doc said very interesting problem, might be a pathogen.

Magoo, I had 10 males to 4 females, so plant a bunch. OG water tech(encourage lateral root growth) , strong drenches, used SO three times in flower.
But remember I did all that because that’s what I saw they needed. it’s a good reference to what you may...

My first impression is the plant looks overwatered. When I see the interveinal “puffy” leaf tissue like you have, it tells me that the plants are not getting a proper wet/dry cycle, and the roots are not happy. Believe me I’ve done this countless times. how dry are you letting them...
