Things in the South need to change

wildbill38, Howdy y'all! Welcome to the south! I understand the "when this ignorant state wises up" statement ALL to well! I am doing a medical grow, as it is a necessity for me. The One good thing I will present, in favor of the south, is that the Bill of Rights is considered important here...

The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said

Hello all, I see it has been busy, and somewhat heated in the discussion here! That's good. I will put in my opinion on the multi-season growing, and mineral breakdown. First off, I look at this, mostly, as a sixth generation farmer. Now, with my soil, the just used soil, root balls and all...

    HID vs. Fluorescents

Not really, it has to do with the efficiency of the item in question, at turning electron energy into photons. If it is not effectively done, then the waste is given off as heat. Look at an incandescent light compared to an led.

Re: The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said. We, in general, I believe, are getting a handle on the Minerals. The next aspect is Mycorrhizae, a (the) fungus that helps the plants out most. Just plunging "Mycorrhizae" into your favorite "shopping app, should show a few choices. There are...

Re: The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said. First a little more info I found on Bone Meal. Bone Meal As a fertilizer, the N-P-K (Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium) ratio of bone meal is generally 4-12-0, though some steamed bone meals have N-P-Ks of 1-13-0. Bone meal is also an excellent...

The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said

Re: The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said. I have been continuing my research. At this time I am looking at Microbiology of Soil, that is, all the little critters that live in the soil, and allow the breakdown of minerals, so that plants can absorb them. There is MUCH more that they do...

How much is too much power use?

It would appear you need to say it a few more times, and thank you. I had only been calling for legal marijuana for 40 years when two states made it that way, and we still have a battle in DC. Go on tell me again how old repeating yourself is getting.

    Flowering nutes, drope the N?

Simple answer, no. The requirements for the plants change as they go into flowering.

How much is too much power use?

You might want to ask it as how many lumen per foot, that would be per cubic foot. What I recall is 10k-20k lumen per cubic foot, but I am the new kid here.

How much is too much power use?

The quick math that I used as electrician, was watts/100=amps this will be off, as the true formula is watts/120=amps, but dividing by 100 is easy, and gives you a number on the high side, by 20%.

The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said

Re: The need for a "BRIX FAQ" and input for said. Perhaps it would be better to raise some strawberries next to or under your other plants :-) I knew of a guy that had a very nice setup for organic strawberries, right out in the front of god and the police and everyone. Drew the heat off the...
