Re: Official LED Grow Light Review
Dear Countbrass-
The Procyon was the first heavy-duty high-powered grow light produced in this country, and that was years ago...its no surprise that its spectrum is insufficient.
Check out OSRAM Opto Semiconductors' Dragon family of LED's...this is probably...
Dear ledmcbucks-
Thanks bud, yours is looking mighty fine as well! I've been taking pictures every week during flowering, but I haven't made a formal grow journal. All the info is here though if you have any q's about anything...
Water-
Those 120W quads are running about $400-450 from...
Hey yall, been gone a while, and I can see you guys are still rockin' without me. Heres a few pics of some of mah girls, finishing up under my 120W quad-band. About week 10 now, all led, all bare-bones, all organic. Oh, and this would probably be considered a cold-grow too, I guess.

If you get this, sorry for not replying sooner...I don't have a ton of posts, and thusly can't PM that much. Email me at Freenorg5@gmail.com if you like.
Peace~
Abia-
Good call on the cloning. I have never had a higher success rate with cloning and germination than under these LEDs. 100% clones survived, 95% healthy, non-runted seed germination from all the different started strains. I remember reading back several pages that these are not effective...
Hey Tead-
Everything looks solid...especially since they seem to be mostly sativa. Now imagine if you added a 120W....
Haven't posted enough to do alot of PMs, drop me an email at Freenorg5@gmail.com if you like.
Kudos!
Techhead-
Thanks for the info! You've gotten me busy on yet another project...
Oh, and 1st LED bud harvested yesterday, will follow with pictures/weight when cured- Nice and big!! The full set is on week 6 and doing amazingly well. Will post pictures of full set soon also
Techhead-
I'd be very interested to hear how you put yours together...I've gotten 3-5W single LEDs for display cases and spotlights (and they are nuts), but never made a large series of them...I think that is where the real future of LED technology lies, but they must need some hefty heat...
Good luck, Abia...(and seahawks!)
Let us know how things go, because not too many people have tried out the 300's...and hopefully with the spectrum you got, and with some 6400k CFL's to fill out the mix, you should be good to go! Should be no burn issues at all, and hopefully you'll be running...
Hey Seahawks-
This is in reply to your posting about the 120W-
I use a quad-band 120W, and it is the same unit except I had them add 10 diodes of white to fill out the spectrum. This light is by far my favorite of the lower-W units, but I would be a little skeptical of HTG, because although...
Dear Oks-
First off, lets clear the air here. Nowhere have I stated that any LED light I have used has outperformed its theoretical HID equiv. If I had, pictures would still NOT TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH about the results. A bud has to be seen, smelled, and smoked to be judged. In fact, I don't give...
Ok, so, those prices are WAAY too high. These are all just retailers who buy from the same 1 or 2 factories in China-
Most recent prices from Chevy Light Co-
(THESE ARE PRICEs FOR THE MORE EXPENSIVE, MORE EFFECTIVE, WIDE BAND OR 660nm DOMINATED!!)
600W- 1850.00
300W- 1000.00
Also, one of my...
Re: Official LED Grow Light Review
Thanks for the kind words, Slowpuffer!
Hazyatbest- Thanks for those..are these two different reviews from an external source? There were some confusing(ed) statements in the Non-believer's standpoint-
Especially the environmental comments...haha
