Has anyone re-used there organic soil for next grow? or in tea's?

I usually remix the old soil with fresh soil. Last time I flushed the soil pretty well, let it dry out and mixed about 50:50 with new (fox farm ocean and perlite with a little dolomite lime). It seemed to work just fine. As long as the last batch of plants were healthy it should be okay.

Adjusting your pH when growing in soil damaging your plants!

I agree that you don't need to adjust pH of plain water since it is (or should be!) unbuffered but I know when I add nutes (using FF primarily) the pH goes down to about 4.5 which is pretty acidic. My first grow I was using crappy ph paper to check and I am sure I did not adjust pH of nutes...

    pH out of control

I think you should adjust the pH of the solution after you add any nutes. The water itself is unbuffered and its' pH will change with very little acid or base added. The nutes can really change the pH by a lot. I had 7.1 rain water and after adding all my nutes it was pH 4.5! Also...

What's wrong with bagseed? Speak up!

sounds great. I'm sure you have plenty of pollen, only takes a tiny bit. I think most people dilute it with something before they brush it onto any females. Good Luck!

    Probably a dumb question/idea but

Hi, We are almost ready to harvest first grow (seeds) and I've been planning a second grow (have citral and carmelicious seed, not fem) How big does a plant have to be to take a clone? Could a clone then be put under 12/12 to basically sex the original plants? On the first batch I had...

New grower - any advice on bug control?

Re: New grower***any advice on bug control??? I got both yellow sticky traps and a jar of crumbled mosquito dunks (forgot the name, but it is the same basic product as the dunks but in tiny form) at amazon. I think you could probably find both products at any big home and garden store...

    Hi everybody

Hi! I've been lurking and learning for several months. What a great site for learning about growing mj. My SO has had chronic back pain for years and the past year it became constant and unbearable. After all sorts of heavy narcotics we decided to try a grow. Both of us are decades out of...

New grower - any advice on bug control?

Re: New grower***any advice on bug control??? Hi, I'm new to this as well and have had problems with fungus gnats. Put up a bunch of yellow sticky sheets to catch adults and watered a few times with crumbled mosquito dunks (microbes that kill the larvae in the soil/water). It seems to have...
