I am new to the hydro scene and am finally in the finishing stages of my grow room. I will create a journal for the room build (and grow journal once I start) but have decided to wait till its 100% finished so I can post it all at once. This is pretty much my final step/issue in finishing this...
Thanks
I suspected that my tap PPM was going to be too high and exactly why I started going in the direction of RO filter.
The hose filter in that link is an option but will not nearly do what an RO filter would and think at this point I need to understand if I really need the RO water or if...

I have decided to go with an 24 site ebb and flow...
good info
i was looking for (did find it) approx 100gal res. It seems like it's easy to find 55gal and under but once you get over that typical 55gal size, the search has to be a little more refined.
Cheers:cool:
i had a situation very similar to this the first time I grew at home. I put a regular household air filter in the bedroom where the grow closet was. The noise was coming from the filter covered up all the sounds coming from the grow closet. Anyone that came over just saw I had an air filter...
in the front range there are tons of supply stores like you mention but most did not carry actual potable water tanks. They have tanks that will work but are translucent and not technically for water... they are storage tanks for liquids like pesticides, etc.
I wanted an actual water tank...
i've never been one for light movers personally but if I was going to buy one this would be it. I'm amazed how much weight it will support and the fact that it runs on universal channel found at home depot as opposed to that crappy extruded channel (that supports ZERO weight) you HAVE to buy...
Re: My Lumatek experience
that model allows you to dim your lights if you don't want to use full amount of power. so in other words you can turn your ballast down to produce the light of a 400w, 250w, etc. This is great if you are moving clones from florescent to HID lighting where they...
You'll be glad you went with 4-1K lamps over 600's IMO. If you can afford the electric bill your plants will be happier under that much more light and so won't your yield. not to mention buying new shit like you mention. I'm about to drop 3K in equipment end of next week so I completely...
I think with that amount of space, plants, etc the 4-1K lights will do you much better than trying to get 2K worth of lighting to do it all. depending on your layout you may even be able to ditch the mover and use 4 stationary lights. In my experience rooms this size and being on the cusp of...
