No, it's definitely not you. As with golfer420, more or less the same thing happened to me this past season; I grow outdoors and of 12 EM that made it past the deer/elk, one did not flower until the days shortened so it ended up getting harvested several months later about 2 weeks ahead of the...
This may be sacrilegious to say but I blend New York City Diesel and Early Miss for back and muscle pain. My job requires I brisk walk 4-6 hrs a day going up and down stairs and I'm in my 50's; I'm getting old so this kind of silliness is starting to hurt. While my tasty blend beats the heck out...
If you going with an auto flower I don't think hours of daylight are all that critical? I live up the coast a ways on Vancouver island so what I do may not apply to your situation: I live in a latitude North of you. My first grow was last year. I started both Early Miss and New York City Diesel...
It turns out this was indeed bud rot or grey mold affecting the Afghan. Considering removal of rotting vegetation in the vicinity or controlling humidity is not an option for me, I will be experimenting with preventative measures. So far hitting the rest with garden sulfur seems to have...
Thanks! Very good point. I already have more than enough bud to last me and close family a year+ so I'm thrilled and thankful with what I have. I think you're spot on about a bit of stress enhancing the bud; a few of my plants that barely survived the vegetative phase ended up flowering like crazy.
I'll definitely be doing much more EM next year. I hope CKS can keep this stocked. I also found this strain to be quite effective for muscle pain relief and lets me relax in comfort after a hard day.
Thanks for the comment! That's actually dandelion fluff. There's a ton of it floating around and it likes to stick to the buds. In the next week or so I'll update with more (hopfully better) pics.
Hi all,
I just wanted to post some pics of my first efforts. Being a new grower I welcome and would appreciate constructive criticism.
This is an example of some Afghani I started early June. I didn't know what to expect but I did not think the Afghani would flower so soon.

Thanks for the response! Yes, my suspicion is that there is something in the water here (Victoria BC) such as a higher concentration of ammonia or chlorine that is killing the seeds. In any case it was an easy fix to just switch to distilled water have complete success.
