What's up bro? OH...that meter sucks...yeah, I've used them and they are misleading and no they don't work in water like the ph pens... I'd get a color card and dropper kit...more acurate and cheaper then a ph pen if you can't afford one at the moment. Good luck and let me know if yo need anything else...P/s more PERLITE
