Re: New Grower!!!! Need Help!!! I have to agree with Dank closet. Miracle grow soil is a bad Idea, or any miracle grow products. Don't buy any soil with a timed release fertilizer. Just get professional grade soil with no ferts. And go pick up some compact flourecents they work pretty well...

What would happen if you had 12/12 for the whole grow?

yes, you must be patient, I'm no expert but it could take longer to germinate depending on how old the seeds are. I use the same paper towel method I have had some that took about a week.
