Not very effectively, no. Besides, I’m only looking at weekend personal use, so a single plant will see me going for a year or two. On that basis, growing my own is already overkill, but it’s so much safer than any other method.
I'm looking at a grow room setup, and could do with some opinions on my plan. The biggest problem I have is the climate where I live. Summer day time temps can sometimes spike to 80f and winter temps are around freezing (sometimes below) with high RH. My only option really is to grow in an...
Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed this thread, and that you guys have got my mouth watering for a few of these oldies :thumb:
One question about the Thai stick - I have had some recently, and totally agree that it is a truly lovely smoke. In fact, probably my favorite to date. My...
Aw, beautiful pic, and thanks for the info! I think I probably harvested slightly early, but the few smokes I have had so far are very satisfactory - very heady, energetic, and just lovely. For a first effort, I am very pleased - just need to get it nicely cured now!
Ah great, thanks Graytail. I think one of the plants was definitely ready, the other possibly not so much. But that's fine for me, I only ever really intended to get one to maturity, and the difference between the two will be good learning experience for me, even if half of it ends up going in...
Just to keep this thread updated for anyone who finds it in a search in future, I harvested at the weekend, which would be just shy of 11 weeks. I'm not at all convinced that it was the right time, but based on the results of the smoke test I think I am likely to have at least some nice buds out...
I have a little update and a question for Graytail or anyone else with sativa dom experience who might be able to help me.
I gave the girls their final flush a couple of days ago after seeing just a few amber trichs appear on both plants (way less than 10%, just the odd one here and there)...
Great advice, thanks Graytail! Yes, from the look of mine I would say they are developing like a normal hybrid would, so I will keep an eye on the trichs with these. But that is also very helpful information on calyx & pistil development with regard to sativas. They are always going to be my...
Thanks for the reply exile - yes I know they can go a hell of a long time, but the Ripen that I am using is meant to effectively send “death signals” to the plant so that it finishes early. I have no idea how it is meant to work, and to be honest I would never have used it if my buds hadn’t been...
Re: Worried about some if my seedlings
They look good to me. I wouldn't worry about their size relative to each other, as long as they all look healthy in themselves.
My weakest seedling has turned out to be my best plant. Some of them just take a little while to get the top growth going :-)
Hello guys,
* to shorten this post for anyone who wants to skip read, my question is how long does it take for sativa trichs to turn from clear to cloudy to amber? For anyone who wants more detail and an explanation of why I am asking the question, feel free to read on below *
I wonder if...
Thanks again for all the replies - just to update on the current status.
I pulled the girls out and removed some lower leaves, mainly those that were starting to yellow, but I also took off a couple of more healthy looking branches which were in danger of sticking to the side of the tent. The...
Thanks MVG 43, that's a really helpful post - especially the comment about 50% being acceptable, which makes life a lot easier for me. I don't really want to go to the expense of AC right now, and I also want to minimise the noise of my grow, but I expect my next grow to be in a different...
Just to update you after the changes I made yesterday. First of all, an embarrassing admission which I would normally keep quiet, but I can see how other people could make the same mistake, so hopefully I can save someone else the headbanging that I went through.
My Hygrometer is an Accuread...
