So your seeds were regular? I can see that being infinitely easier. True males must blow clouds of pollen with every breeze! Reversed females have a much harder time spitting out pollen if at all. I wonder how the larger operations produce feminized seeds? Do they use STS? CS? How often do they...
Hi All
I'm trying to find information on how the big boys make feminized seeds. I've done seed runs using CS and STS with success but am curious if anyone knows how they are produced on an industrial scale? Any pics, videos, methods and /or inside info would be appreciated.
Here are photo's from two Critical Mass Autos today. They are the same age - started in the first week on Oct. I sprayed one with STS once per week starting late November. It's had about 4 sprays so far and you can see buds are forming. One more spray should do it. I've included the non-sprayed...
Thanks much for this. That pretty much tells me the seeds won't form. The temperatures are way to cold here. I'll do an inside seed run. Very useful info.
Hi - I am in Atlantic Canada where frost comes in early October. I have two Critical Mass outside in the ground. They were pollinated in mid August (it's now Oct 1) and we're getting frost.
Two questions
1) Can the plants stay in the ground and will they produce viable seeds?
(8- 10 weeks puts...
Can you post pictures of the seeds? They should be dark with tiger stripes and tough shells. Small lighter colored seeds with soft shells are not mature. Also - they should be stored in a dark container in a cold area like your fridge after harvesting for a few weeks to "rest" them. Finally -...
Thanks Bill
Now that you mention it, I did throw some liquid nutrients (diluted in water) on that side a week ago. That's probably it. Phosphorus toxicity?
