Re: Oldgrowerdude's Variety Grow
I just purchased the system and you're truly getting some amazing growth, but I've seen many journals with this system and drooled over their growth rate.
Those PPP have some massive fan leafs, surely they're going to explode upon flowering. I've heard...
Re: Oldgrowerdude's Variety Grow
It's a beautiful job, not that many people have the oppurtunity to grow something they love, body guarding it, guiding it, protecting it all the way until maturity. I have to say, I haven't grown that many crops my self, but that pride you get from doing it...
Good thread, there's an excellent article in Maximum Yield entitled "The pH of raw water is useless" I highly suggest reading that article, It will point out why your water fluctuates.
Pro I wouldn't be scared of hydro because of nutrients, simply put I did my research this year on nutrients, various brands, their claims, all the grow journals I could find for the contenders I had in mind, heard a lot of things, some good, some bad, but overall it came down from the...
I also have a VaporGenie, and it's a nice unit, but if your friends can't get the principles down, it goes all bad.
I got a Vapir One 5.0 on the way, I'll update with a review after I use it.
If you're looking for a butane based either a VaporGenie or a VaporStar will do you fine, but I...
I owned one of these and it had a few issues, before I go into the issues, I have to say this is a very nice piece of kit for the price, and it hits like a champion.
The issues I ran into were that the cord's connection at the bottom of the unit that strangely uses a telephonic mini jack...
Oil? never tried it my self but I would tend to think it wouldn't be too hard, you'd just need a fine enough durable mesh screen so it didn't simply just drain through, you might want to use a bed of kief or ground bud as a bed, and then drip the oil on top of that.
As for a purer method...
One could build a DIY, but how much does it cost to acquire UV treated, food grade plastics in the sizes comparable? Then you've got all the man hours for fitting, the grommets, tubing, etc etc.
I actually did a comparison and I challenge you to build a Waterfarm module for less than the $30...
That is solid of you to be behind the magazine like that, right on, hopefully VaporStore will begin carrying the product if able, by popular demand, and then loyalty issue solved, solid products are just that.
Update, in my comparison thread of the VaporGenie vs the VaporStar, I decided to build a gravity bong using the VaporStar as it was the easier to McGuyver.
I have to say the hits are amazingly intense when you re-learn the proper motion for the lighter.
Well I thought you VaporGenie people...
Re: VaporGenie (Wooden) vs VaporStar
Update
I was feeling like an adventure, so I McGuyvered a Ledgers Cranberry plastic container into a gravity bong using a bucket and the VaporStar, and let me say after two hits and getting the flame down, I am on the Moon right now, I'm making typos...
There are also reports that colloidal silver, applied as a foliar feed or soak can cause feminization. Honestly I think the people here talking about hermies like they're a bad thing are thoroughly mistaken, if anything hermaphrodites are a biological defense mechanism against extinction, so to...
That's quite a deal, I guess I didn't search hard enough, but I was getting frustrated by the effort.
If you can get it shipped for that little, then by all means, do. Otherwise, local would be the nicest way to go but again, that wasn't an option for me at the time and is now.
Good luck...
Good point Max. I guess I was wrong about that point, since the slow turning should allow the RW time to release solution.
However, there are still NUMEROUS reasons to aerate your solution properly, including balanced pH, suspension of nutrients in equilibrium in solution, resistance to...
But you're wrong, you can't win an argument that you started, just because you're wrong and don't see how.
He is right about the aeration, about the RW being a wicking media that will saturate and therefore deprive early root systems of essential oxygen, hindering long term development...
