Since I am out of FFOF, I am thinking of trying DWC because it seems like I would have a lot more control over the entire plant, which I don't think I have from soil.
Hey fanleaf, I think you are okay because the rest of the plant looks great. Lower leaves gonna die off cause they get no light.
I do wanna say thanks for your help in one of my posts. Adding lime really helped the ph and I get a runoff of 6.3ph when in at 6.45ph. My plant has been doing very...
For FFOF, I would suggest testing the ph of the runoff before you plant to make sure it is within the correct ph range. Myself, as well as others have had problems with FFOF ph being way too low, causing loads of deficiency problems and stunted growth.
I would first fill a pot with FFOF and 25%...
Being in the same boat, I think I will be switching to DWC next grow. I feel that you have much more control with it than soil. Because I dont think we can control the soil ph as well as we would like, like you can with the water in DWC. But I am honestly not sure how you will be able to deal...
We both in the same boat unfortunately. After I flushed and added dolomite like you suggested, the deficiency has been the least I've ever seen. But I do have the same problems as your third and fourth picture using the same FFOF.
However the last feeding I did, I pH'd to 6.45, only because...
So I flushed at 7-7.1ph and got it up to 5.50ph and dressed it with lime. We'll see how the runoff ph is next watering. She does seem to be looking better after, but still too early to tell. Thanks for the help guys. Will post an update later.
Thanks for the reply fanleaf. So I went out and bought some dolomite lime to raise the ph, now how would I go about administering it to the plant? Spread it out on top and then water?
I am flowering week 2 in FFOF using GH Flora series. I have been phing to 7, but the runoff always reads at a 5, even if the water ph is 6.5. When I water in between feedings, I add 5ml of cal-mag per gallon at 7ph.
The damaged leaves are all on the lower part of the stems. So far the bud...
