Re: who has the best Durban Poison ?
Kind of took your beginning statement as an insult :peace:, so here I am following up as I just got done with my little Urban Poison grow. I have grown a quite few different strains in soil from seed, never the same breed, so I would like to think I am...
OK a little update for those trying to make their own breed.
I first had a plant (urban poison ) go hermi, but more male than not. I had harvested a majority of buds off a BC Big Bud and had just a couple small ones left to go. I took the male and let it grow till it was clearly pollinating...
Forgot about jorge cervatas's DVD's. Already had the 2nd DVD, Just got the 1st one and it was on there! Thanks!
He does get into what makes a viable seed, but not how to grow your own. Going to get the third one in the series and see if it has more info, thanks again!
I read that curing in sub zero is a bad, bad idea. Reasoning is the trics freeze and fall off, or fracture, cant remember exactly which, but I do remember it will seriously degrade the quality of your weed.
At least thats what I read, gotta believe it
Also if you havnt read, get a cheap microscope to look closely at the Trics. Radioshack has a pretty nice 100x for like $15
I also read here and found that its better to harvest individual buds over a period of time as the buds do not mature at the same rate.
Wish I would have know about the nute thing before I grew mine.
Your right about nute sensitivity. I gave up giving any nutes to the couple I had grown(in soil ) because even a little seemed to make the leaf tips yellow.
I obtained some fem seeds from a friend and unlike the other poster...
Tunes420- Thanks for the pics, had tried this a couple of times and while I had some success, your method is MUCH more efficient. I was using string tying it down to weights outside the pot. The string cut into the stems.
Just for clarification, are you using a heavy gauge electrical wire?
OK first part of your answer is like asking where babies come from : ) Thanks for the rest of the info, its exactly what I was looking for.
You happen to know about how long of a process this is, currently seeds are looking rather large, I'd say they've been forming 3 weeks or a little more.
Re: who has the best Durban Poison ?
You my friend are wanting to do exactly what I am currently doing, make a new breed.
I had a difficult time seeing one of my plants tucked way in the back of my grow box(2.5'x2.5'x4'. These things are really twisted up! Turns out it was male, or...
Re: who has the best Durban Poison ?
LOL, no kidding!
Growing with CFL's so power is not a big deal, but they will probably be evicting me from the house soon!:slide:
