to me it doesn't matter what standard you use as long as you improve it, (has to be dry weight though) I just use the numbers to compete with myself, Doubt I will ever hit the 1-2 gram per watt some of the folks get. Also strain has a lot to do with it, this one strain (some kinda og kush)...

For just personal grows I found that 25 watts of led per square foot give a decent yield, with your set up it is about 15 watts, Not counting cfl (I know nothing about growing under cfl) Also I found several shorter smaller plants do better under my mars 2 400 (180 watts) than one big plant...

Not sure if the people will actually use less light, as the lights have gotten more efficient people just used more lights (this is true in everyday life ).. If i remember correctly it was called the lighting paradox.

Just finished curing some type of skunk got 133 grams dry. This is grown under 180 watts of led (mars II 400) tried to do a sea of green in a 32" X 32" tent with 8, 6" square pots the picture is my best one of the bunch.

I peek in the tent at least once a day,, water every 3-4 days. So not what i consider a lot of my time. Although they do affect me anytime i want to go somewhere for more than a few hours, living in a non legal state paranoia is your friend! Or when the landlord wants to become your "buddy" so...

Thanks, the 160 is the number of leds not watts, mars changed the way they labeled their new lights. So 1/2 gram per watt is a better number for comparison. Heck in my veg closet I just use wal mart house leds, 5 100watt (16 watt actual) daylight spectrum bulbs, but then they get a longer veg...
