1st time at home looking for advice and feedback

What's up y'all? This is my first attempt at home. Been working at industrial grows for about the past year so I know a little bit but nearly enough. I currently have two beautiful girls going in my basement Grand Daddy Purple on the Left (Roberta) and Tangie on the right (Bianca) I've had both since the 7th of November so they are reaching the end of their veg cycle and will be ordering Full Spectrum Lights for flowering this weekend (any suggestions on what lights to get?). To me they look happy and healthy but I am interested in what everyone else thinks who have experience in this. I'm pretty sure I made a really rookie mistake and have been underwatering them and I am going to be waiting for the pots to dry out a bit and then water with plain water till drainage to flush all the crap out of them. Here are some pics let me know what you think or what I could be doing differently...thank you in advance stay elevated my peeps.

How to water ....

They look great. What kind of drainage do your pots have? What kind of soil are you using?

The pots just have the drain holes at the bottom and I have them on tote lids...overfill till they run out and then switch out the tote lids and hand dry the bottom...they're in miracle grow with a 1:1 fish & guana mix for nutrition. A buddy of mine swears by the combo and figured I'd give it a shot since I had 0 idea lol

Read the contents of the miracle grow. Does it have time released nutrients? You’ll find that the veg stage is pretty straight forward. The flowering stage is a lot less forgiving. If your buddy is growing successfully, just do what he’s doing. You’ll learn a lot on your first indoor grow. There is a wealth of information here. Do yourself a favor and start a grow journal if you haven’t already.
