Ahhh Redundancy

I am quite aware that this is a very redundant question on this and many other marijuana forums, but this is most likely because the question usually pretains to the individual plants in questions.

My question is, when should I pick my buds. My plant at this moment has been growing outside, with normal 20-20-20 fert. since approx. June 30th. I've noticed that some or I should say most of the hairs are quite brown at the tops of the bud, and though I am seeing lots of bud production, I seem to remember hearing somewhere that the longer you leave the plant, the larger your buds become. At this point, I am not so much interested in potency as much as yeild...

How long has it been in the flowering stage? (budding)

make sure to flush the plant and stop using that fert like 2 weeks prior to harvest.

The plants have been in the flowering stage for about 1 month or so.
