Aluminum Reflectors

Hi All:

My bro works for a big mechanical contractor and gave me two Aluminum Reflectors. These reflectors once held Philips 400W Metal Halide Lamps (40,000 + lumen). There are scores of them in his shop and man lemme tell ya it's BRIGHT! The dimensions are 52 inch circumference, 18 inches wide (bottom), 8.5 inches wide (top) and roughly 12 inches in height.

I'm currently on my second grow using a combo of 23W CFL (100W equivalent) and 9.5W LED (60W equivalent). 16 lights in all 50/50 split. The lights are currently housed in 10.5 inch aluminum reflectors and I'm fairly happy with the results thus far.

My question is - are these reflectors too large to accommodate my current lighting system? I plan on using them above the main COLA. I'm prepared to increase the wattage to ensure sufficient diffusion. Any thoughts or comments or recommendations would be very much appreciated. I can't move to HID at present but it is a possibility down the road.

Thanks!
