Any ideas.....

The 2 old mothers in soil that I am flowering out with my dwc grow have become too tall. They were topped and tied down / back but my ceiling is 6'6" and the plants are about 6" as is. My lights are only good to about 5'6".

I need an idead or two to take care of this without hurting the plants too much.

Any ideas would be great...

Hang a few more CFLs over the main colas? I dont know man with only 6 inches thats kinda rough.

Take clones and just chop her up for butter. I had to do it to my mother because I inherited her from some one who didn't train her properly. Take it as a learning experience and remember the issues you ran into here. How can you grow a mother over her lifetime to allow you to flower in your space? What pruning and training need to be done? Believe it or not pruning her regularly is a good thing, even if the cuts are not being used for clones. Doesn't look like its too far into flower.
