Anyone use this carbon media stuff?

I am preparing to build a carbon scrubber and maybe even a combo muffler/scrubber.

Looking around on eBay,I found this stuff:

Activated Carbon Pad 16" wide x 25 feet long x 1/4" | eBay


I was wondering if it was suitable or do I need a legit carbon bed?

Looks interesting. With 10 grams per square foot, I would want to push through several layers.
