Aquarium lights in a DWC setup?

Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a 4 individual 'brummie bubbler' type DWC setups, each with 80ltr res's. With these DWC units there's plenty of room around the top pot to see the roots below. My question is, is there a type of light in the spectrum that is less harmful to the roots than others which i can put in the res so that occasionally i can turn the light on and look at the root health?

Obviously this would only be for a few minutes a week, and in an ideal world i would want the light to be white, but is red/blue a better option? I'm looking at the 40cm 42 LED white aquarium light bars on eBay.

I know it's a very specific question but thought it was worth an ask anyway.

I would leave the light out of there
I do regular weekly cleaning and res changes so I look when I do that
theres no reason to put a light in there and it just complicate things keeping things simple goes a long way
