The Hanfparade (Hemp Parade) is Germany's last demonstration for the legalization of cannabis as means of enjoyment, medicine and raw material. On August 2nd, a large demonstration will take place in Berlin for the legalization of hemp as a raw material, medicine and means of enjoyment. The Hanfparade 2008 will begin at the TV tower. We demand this because we have arrived at the conviction that the only way to protect ourselves, the consumers, is through a legal hemp market. The Hanfparade travels through the historic heart of Berlin, the twelfth hemp parade will take place on August 2nd. Before the participants and the colorfully decorated parade vehicles with its political messages and demand on will gather around lunchtime at the foot of the TV tower at the south side of the Alexanderplatz railway station. A 1:00 clock, the demonstration will begin with music, which will be interrupted by passionate speeches regarding the subjects of child and youth protection, consumer protection and the legalization of cannabis. Through this demonstration (and the carefully worked out route) we will be able to spread awareness of the negative effects of the cannabis ban.
