Nothing like going to your local shop and shelling out $30 bucks to get a big bag of uncompressed coco-coir and bringing it home with unwanted visitors. Two weeks later we have a pretty big outbreak of garden thrips, guess it could've been the bag of perlite but it was one of the two. Only thing new that has been brought in, I mean I totally understand it could've just been from outdoors but I really think it was the testing we were underway with, lol guess what? The two cuts veg'n in the coir and the rest of the coir are outta here! Its not that we couldn't have treated the situation and kept at it but with the luck we get with mini cubes (been using for over 10 years now) theres now way I will change to anything but. Im not going to have to worry about who is stowing away in my media.
OK my bitch and rant is about over lol.
We did treat the root masses and cubes with a lil SNS 209 and srayed the greens with some neem oil.
I will be reapplying in 7 days and prob every week for a month.
