Hey OTM -- If you can grow 6-8 foot trees it sounds like you've got the fundamentals mastered, so I'd guess it's just a matter of figuring out the vagaries of indoor hydroponics and you're set.
This is my first hydroponic grow, and the one big takeaway that I have for DWC (after the soaking wet rock wool debacle) is to measure and monitor my pH very carefully and keep it stable around 5.8. I was having mysterious leaf problems earlier that I variously guessed were caused by too much light, too low humidity, fan too high, but through the retrospectiscope, I think now that they were all based on not having my pH right (too low). Now that I have that figured out it looks like pretty smooth sailing for the moment.
