Can I mix colors of fluorescents?

Hey all.

I have a small but growing collection of tubes and CFLs that I'm using in a small tent. My original plan was to stick with 5000k+ for veg, then switch to all 2900-3500k for flowering. However, having been reading a bit about fluoros, it sounds like lots of people actually use a combo of blue and red spectra.

-Is this actually the case?
-If I were to mix spectra, would I only want to do it after vegging under just the blue spectrum?
-I know this invites vague answers, but is there an "ideal" mix of reds and blues that I should aim for? Even just a rough percentage would be great.

you can use both kind...when u veg...use more blue light than red....when you flower...use more red light than blue

i read that 3/1 ratio works best....

if your in veg 3 blue to every 1 red spectrum, for flowering its 3 red to every 1 blue....

Yeah, that's a good plan. My panels have 6 bulbs each, so, it's easy math all the way around. Thanks Money!
